Terms of Service

These terms of service (the Terms) govern your use of Bulk Buddy (we, us, our), the platform that helps food co-operatives place and manage orders. By creating an account or using Bulk Buddy, you agree to these Terms.

About the service

Bulk Buddy is software that helps Co-ops organise Orders, track payments, and coordinate deliveries among their Members. We provide the platform; the Co-ops that use it are responsible for running their own ordering, products, and finances.

Accounts and registration

To use Bulk Buddy you must create an account and provide accurate information. You must be authorised to act on behalf of any details you enter, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe. Do not share your password or let anyone else Sign in to your account.

Member and Co-op responsibilities

Co-op admins are responsible for managing their Co-op, including products, suppliers, fees, and Member invitations. Members are responsible for the Orders they place and the payments they owe. Each Co-op sets its own rules for participation; Bulk Buddy does not run the Co-op or decide how it operates.

Orders and payments

Orders placed through Bulk Buddy are agreements between Members and their Co-op. Payments are made directly to the Co-op, not to us. We record payments so the Co-op can track them, but we do not hold or transfer money on anyone's behalf.

Fees

Co-ops may apply fees to Orders (for example, delivery or handling fees). Bulk Buddy also charges a subscription to Co-ops that use the platform. Any fees are shown before you confirm an Order so you know what you are agreeing to.

Prohibited conduct

• Use Bulk Buddy only for lawful food co-op activities
• Do not attempt to access another Co-op's or Member's data
• Do not misuse, overload, or try to disrupt the platform
• Do not enter information you do not have the right to share

Intellectual property

We own the Bulk Buddy software, name, and branding. Co-ops own the products, prices, and content they enter. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our software or branding without our permission.

Disclaimers and limitations of liability

Bulk Buddy is provided "as is". We are not liable for the products a Co-op orders, the accuracy of prices, or the outcome of any Order. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid us to use it.

Termination

You can stop using Bulk Buddy at any time by Signing out and not returning. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or if a Co-op's subscription ends.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will keep the current version on this page, and continued use of Bulk Buddy after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the New Zealand courts.
