This privacy policy explains how Bulk Buddy (we, us, our) collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What personal information we collect

We collect personal information from you, including information about your:

• Name
• Contact information
• Location
• Interactions with us
• Optional bank account details

Why we collect it

We collect your personal information in order to help collaboration between members and to allow the system to work properly.

Who we share it with

Besides our staff, we share this information with suppliers and members in order to send orders to suppliers and help members know which bank account to pay money into to pay for their orders, and where suppliers need to send their orders to.

Providing information is optional

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter a bank account number, we'll be unable to provide this to co-op admins to pay refunds to you and they will need to get this information from you directly. The same applies to your phone number. We do need your email address in order for registration to work.

How we keep your information safe

We keep your information safe by following best practices in data storage and server management and only using it when necessary. We do not sell any of your information.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as you are an active member and then for up to 6 months after inactivity, at which point we securely destroy it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you'd like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at support@bulkbuddy.nz.
